"
I hope you will agree that both criteria are evidenced in my description
of the problem.
The property that I have purchased is on Casino Road directly across from
the Walter E. Hall Golf Course. It is zoned for 48 multi -family units. The
project we are proposing is 28 units in 4-unit buildings as we opted for a much
lower density. The problem we face specifically is that in cyder to provide
the hydrant within two hundred feet of a building, we have to incur the follow-
ing expenses;
1. Tap a 16" water main on tire south side of Casino Road,
r•r?• it across *Le street, set a meter. Cost ...... 5 10,500.00
2. Run the 6" water line with blow off 250' inside private
property and install hydrant. Cost ...... $ 6,680.00
. Maintain a 6" water main, hydrant and water blow off
indefinitely on private property.
These estimated costs are accurate and would have to be added onto the
project costs and ultimately paid by the consumer. The buildings themselves
could he easily served by a standard 2" water service. The buildings will be
sold separately, and I know that I can not insure the care and maintenance of
continued
