May 8, 1978
City of Everett Engineering Department continued
the water line and hydrant.
My request is that you allow me to install a hydrant on the southside of
Casino Road directly across from the proposed project on the city right of way.
Conversely, I will adjust my buildings to allow adequate room for the future
widening of Casino Road. This would seem to be a more pragmatic approach to
the problems besetting Casino Road. If you have some other suggestions regard-
ing this matter, I would certainly consider those also.
The irony of the whole problem is that a hydrant ordinance before an
adequate water system puts everyone in a bad light; the developer, the Fire
Marshall, the City Engineer, right on down the line. I certainly try to
conform to all city ordinances, but in this case, I feel there is an undue
hardship. I would appreciate hearing from you as soon as possible as my
project is held up until this matter is resolved.
Sincere y; _
Bert V.
