These comments <br />address building issues only. Additional revisions or additions mny be required by other departments <br />(such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the 2003 International Building Code <br />(IBC), as amended by the State of Washington and/or the Washington State Energy Code, 2003 <br />edition, unless noted otherwise. <br />In order for the processing your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the <br />Building Division with two sets of drawings reflecting the corrections requested. <br />Construction <br />1. A two-hour firewall separating new construction from the existing church is required to <br />comply with the automatic fire detection and suppression systems Ordinance 1902-92. <br />Provide dimensioned architectural cross-section and plans for a firewall to comply with <br />Section 705. <br />2. Structural materials and calculations, including seismic, demonstrating that the <br />firewall will maintain structural stability if adjacent construction collapses, for the <br />duration of the fire -resistance rating required (two hours). <br />3. Floor, ceiling and wall construction details for the new toilet rooms, which identify finish <br />materials, waterproofing, roof drainage, vapor separation, insulation and moisture <br />protection, to comply with the Washington State Energy Code-2004 and Washington State <br />Ventilation and Indoor Air Quality Code-2003. <br />4.
