There arc several comments from the previous letter (sent on January 11, amended on <br />January 25) that Have not been addressed in the resubmitted documents. It is our strong <br />recommendation that a licensed architect should prepare the construction documents, in accordance <br />with the Revised Code of Washington, RCW 18.08.410 and the International Building Code Section <br />106.1, based on the requirements of the correction letter and the size of the church. <br />Your plans Have been examined and you arc advised that a permit cannot be issued until the following <br />issues arc resolved. These comments address building issues only. Additional revisions or additions <br />may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the <br />2003 International Building Code (IBC), as amended by the State of Washington, unless noted <br />otherwise. <br />In order for the processing your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the <br />Building Division with two sets of drawings reflecting the corrections requested. <br />Construction <br />1. Item 1 from previous letter: The materials and means to create two-hour f irewall <br />separating new construction from the existing structure should be specified on the plans <br />and section, including but not limited to the wall construction, door materials and <br />hardware required to provide fire -resistance. <br />2. Item 3 from previous letter: Indicate toilet room finishes including but not limited to: <br />ceiling height, smooth Hard finish on floors extending 6 inches up onto walls, per IBC <br />1210.1 and higher where required by IBC 1210.2. <br />3. Item 4 from previous letter: Exhaust fan equipment sizes and locations should be shown in <br />the toilet room per the Washington State Ventilation and Indoor Air Quality Code-2003.
