The wetland mitigation site/detention area will be
constructed prior to grading of the site. The area will be
temporarily modified to act as the temporary eroslon control
devise.
~ 2 . All trees and shruba that are proposed to be
salvaged will be ear-marked, removed , and replanted into the
mitigation wetland. This work will be supervised by the
landscape construction foreman and a wetland bioloqist.
P+ 3. The base material in the northwest wetland will be
excavated and spread in thoae areas of elevation 561 or less
1 with the exception of the existing wetlands which will be
' ' retained undisturbed.
'' ~ 4 . After site grading and construction, i.e. the
1 ' completion of paving, the mitigation area will be checked and
cleaned. The temporary sedimentation areas will be removed at
'` this time. The control structure Areas will be over-excavated
... and back-filled with top soil to remove the poten*.ial of oils
' or other contaminants that may have entered the site during
construction being retained in the lower soil profile after
'' the mitigation area is completed. .
'' , 5. Shrubs and trees will be either replanted or
introduced , depending on the species , starting with the
interior trees on the elevations 562 to 5G4 and ending wit'
the planting of the buffer area. Trees that are handled by
heavy equipment will be planted first. All trees 10 feet or
' -- taller will be staked and anchored ueing self-deatructive
maerials such as cotton twine or cloth. Each tree will be
wrapped with burlap to prevent twine from rubbing through the
bark and killing the tree.
