Dx `
Q H
H
Ky
'tl' -
NH
Hx C'
td   ;
OM j g 6. Grading.
c c
H Because of. the excavation for the buildinq pacs, the
gH
M ,, northern boundary of the wetland will have been pre-graded
y H I prior to the initiation of grading of the wetland
' mitigation/enhancement area.
' Prior to excavation, selected trees which will be
identified and flagged by the wetlands construction supervisor
and the wetlands biologist to identify those trees that will
be removed and stock-piled into a pre-developed nursery area.
Once this is completed, the remainder of the area, with the
exception uf the existing wetlands , will be graded to the
proposed elevations (SD 7) . The site will be sloped frm the
outer perimeter down to the edge of the 25 foot shrub/tree
buffer area that is proposed to surround all of the site. The
; grass lined swales will be incorporated into this 25 foot wide
Iarea. That portion of the existing wetland east of building
IB impacted by construction, but not permanently covered, will
'1 be restored with wetland vegetation typical of the undisturbed
' ' portion of the wetland. The slope from the upland to the edge
i of the wetland, i.e. the 25 foot buffer area, will vary from
'' , being flat to being lowered 4 feet over a horizonr.al distance
' ' of 25 feet. From the boundary of this shrub azea, the wetland
i will be excavated to the identified depths.
' 1 The elevation 565 through 563 elevation areae in the
north central portion of the wetland will be graded to the
grade identified in the initial grading plan. The 561 and 562
' areas will be over-qraded by. 6 inches to elevation 560.5 and
SGl.S to allow room for replacement soil from the northwest
' wetland. . The areas surrounding and adjacent to the existing
wetlands will be graded up to the edge of the flagged wetland.
This may require some hand-clearing in an effort to maximize
the wetland design features of the mitigation plan without
' disturbing the existing remaining wetlands.
1 The elevtion 564 and 565 areas will be created to
maximize the conditions necessary for the survival of an
alder/ cottonwood tree community within the confines oE the
wetter portions of the mitigation area .
3
