The material , including plant life and mud sediments,
will be excavated to a depth of 1 foot or to the point where
r the impact of wetland conditions is no longer existent. (This
will not include the existing wetlands that are to be
retaied . ) The material will be spread to a depth of 6
inches . It is anticipated , based on past experiences in
Oreqon, and from data in publications , and from reports at
i restoration conferences, that this will provide a seed bed
both f.or plant species and the benthic macro and micro
organisms that are colonizing the existing wetlands. The
j regrading wi12 bring the site to the grades identified on SD 7
(grading plan) .
I A brm or overflow structure will be constructed at the
southern edge of the exicting southeastern wetland. It will
I be constructed between the existing wetland and the invert of
' , the existing culvert that goes under Casino Rcad. The er.m
' will be designed to maintain. the. water level_ in the retention
ponat-elevation 563 . This will create a standing water area
 I
' varying in depth from 5 feet at the lowest point in t e
1 ' wetland to 1 foot throughout much of the regraded area
including the moat effect. The moat effect created by the
' water will place a physical separation between the plant
' buffer and the center core of the wetland.
' 7, Vegetation.
' The vegetation will be a mix consisting oE a forested
shrub/scrub border surrounding the entire site with a mixed
forested shrub/scrub and emergent marsh/buttercup components
in the center core of the wetlands.
