Vinyl-coated 16-gage copper wire, color coded for appropriatc utility as required by <br /> Oregon State Specialry Plumbing Code. <br /> PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> 3.1 TRENCH GXCAVATION: <br /> A. Cut pavementlwhere required, as specified in Section 02050, Demolition. <br /> B. Excavate trenches to lines and grades as shown on the drawings, or az directed. <br /> C. Trench width shall not be less than the outside diameter of the pipe, plus 18 inches, <br /> nor mare than the inside diameter of the pipe, plus 24 inches. <br /> D. Open trench length to allow satisfactory consuuction and inspection of project, but not <br /> to endanger other construction work or facilities. <br /> E. Shape bedding materials so that at least the lower quarter ot the pipe circumlen.nce is <br /> in continuous contact with the bedding. <br /> F. Remove all excess excavated material. <br /> 3.2 VERIFICATION OF EXISTING UTILITIES: <br /> A. L.ocation and elevatlon of existing utilitics are taken from the bcst available <br /> infonnation; howevec, it is expected that there will be discrcpancies in the location <br /> and elevation of aome utilities. No responsibiliry is assumed by the Enginar for the <br /> accuracy or completeness of infortnation provided to the Contractor. The Contractor <br /> shali make excavations ahead of the work to detenn3ne Ihe actual location and <br /> elevation of underground utilitiea or other features which might interfete with <br /> constcuction. <br /> B. If ezisting utilities ot other features�arc encounteted which interfero with the <br /> wnstruction, notify the Owner'a Autharized Representive before procading. If the <br /> Contractor shall fail to so notify the Owner's Authoriud Reprcsentive when a con0ict <br /> is encountered; and ahall proceed with the construction despite this interference, he <br /> ahall do so at his own risk. All damage to existing utilities caused by the Contractor's <br /> operations shall be repaired at no added wst. <br /> 3.3 EXCAVATION BELOW GRADE: <br /> TRENCHING, BACKFILLING, AND WMPACTING 02221•3 <br />
