The cement content shall be determined in accordance <br /> with ASTM C 138. <br /> p, Air entraining admixture ahall be added in such a manner that will ensure unifortn <br /> distribution of the agent throughout the batch. The air content of freshly mixed air- <br /> entrained concrete shall be bued upon trial mixes with the materials to be used in the <br /> work adjusted to produce concrete of 1he required plasticity and workebility. The <br /> percentage of air entrainment in,the mix shall be 5 1/2 percent plus or minus 1 1/2 <br /> percentage points. Air content shall be determined by testing in accordance with <br /> ASTM C231 for gravel and stone coarse aggregate and ASTM C173 for alag and <br /> other highly porous coarse aggregate. <br /> 2.4 EXPANS[ON JO[NT MATERIALS: <br /> A.
