For this study, the "Runoff" block was used to generate <br />runoff data from the various watersheds. In most cases <br />the watersheds were simplified to the point where <br />analysis of one basin area was sufficient for modeling <br />purposes. When two or more watersheds had to be combined <br />the "Combine" block was used. <br />After runoff hydrographs were generated for each of the <br />basin areas the "Extran" block was used to route the <br />"Runoff" hydrograph through the detention storage <br />structure. In accordance with Section 4 of the DCSS, the <br />location of the proposed construction site determines the <br />duration and frequency of storm events to be used. For <br />00-" this study, a 10yr-24hr precipitation event was used to <br />evaluate pre -developed conditions while the 25yr-24hr <br />precipitation event was used to evaluate developed <br />conditions. The intensities for each of the storm events <br />were taken from rainfall hyetographs of the area. The <br />amounts of r. nfall for the respective storm events are <br />given in Table 1. <br />4 <br />
