B. EVALUATION OF ROOF DRAINAGE FROM 40-04 i 40-06
BUILDINGS, (BASIN 2)
The roof drainage area, shown on Drawing No. SK-C2.0,
has a total watershed area of 8.44 acres which is
comprised entirely of impervious roof surfacing.
Drainage from this basin area flows via overland flow
and gutter flow until reaching one of the inlet
structures located in the roadway. From this point runoff
is conveyed through a system of storm drain piping until
reaching the northern detention basin. The peak flow
hydrograph was generated at the entrance to the detention
vault using the "Runoff" block program. It should be
noted that this is the same summation point as for the
1
~ northwest Parking area (Basin 1). The results are
presented in Table 5.
TABLE 5
PEAK DISCHARGE FOR ROOF DRAINAGE FROM 40-04 AND
40-06 BUILDINGS, (BASIN 2), FOR DEVELOPED CONDITIONS
PRECIPITATION EVENT
(FREQUENCY/DURATION)
25YR-24HR
1m/
16
PEAK DISCHARGE
(CFS)
7.46
I ..-1-1-
