4M • 41 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br />The ana:ysis and design of the retention/detention <br />facilities to be implemented under the Building Permit <br />requires an evaluation of the pre -developed and developed <br />hydrologic conditions of the site. The results of the <br />pre -developed hydrologic analysis will be used to <br />establish peak flow rates and discharge performance <br />levels for the developed conditions. The design of the <br />retention/detention facilities can then be directed <br />toward meeting the performance levels established. <br />t 1 2.0 METHODS OF HYDROLOGIC ANALYSIS <br />A. TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEY <br />The site analysis began by assessing existing survey <br />information on the site. In areas where the available <br />survey information did not conform to existing site <br />conditions, additional topographic survey information <br />was obtained. Important physical features, such as roads, <br />driveways, buildings, drainage structures and the land <br />cover type and extent -of -coverage, were located in the <br />survey. <br />1 <br />
