Af[ected Environment <br /> Fire ProL�tion and Emerg,rn�y n^ Pc <br /> The Boeing Company operdtes ;ts own fire d,,•partment to respond to on-site emergencies. The <br /> department has two fire stadons. 1'he North Complez Fire Station (refer to site plan - Building <br /> 40-20) is located north of SR 526 between Building 40-21 and 40.51 and serves t}ie portion of <br /> the site north of SR 526. The Flightline Fire Stadon is located south of SR 526 between <br /> Building 45-01 and Building 45-02. The Flightline Fire Station scrves the southem portion of <br /> the complex. <br /> The Boeing Fire Department is staffod by 42 fufl-dme professional firefighters. Current staff:ng <br /> levels are equa! to approzimately 1.9 firefightcrs per 1,000 Boeing employces. Response times <br /> to vazious areas of the sitc range from two to Uiree minutes. Emergency response equipment <br /> on-site includes: <br /> 1 - 2000 gallon per minute pumper <br /> 1 - 5000 gallon water/aqueous film forming foam (aff� tanker <br /> Z - 4000 gallon water/afff all terrain crash rescue vehicles <br /> 1 - ambulance <br /> According to Boeing officials, the fire department received appwximately 700 calls for service <br /> in 1989. This is equai to roughly 17 calls per firefighter. Of the total calls approximatety 42 <br /> percent are for medical emergencies, six percent aze fire-related emergencies and 52% aze for <br /> other emvgencies such as spills and false alazms. (Please see Appendix H — Hazardous <br /> Matcrials for a discussion of spills.) <br /> The Boeing siu is within the service youndazies of the City of Everett Fire Department'� <br /> response area. As such, no mutual aid agreement would be nxessary for them to respond to <br /> emergencies on-site if Boeing's emergency service capabilities were not adequate to respond. <br /> ��nB � � agreement with Paine Field for ccash rescue support if necessary, Boeing�s 5000 <br /> gallon tanker Gvck is available to aid in off-site emergencies if it is needed. Joint haining <br /> betwcen Boeing, City of Everett and Paine Field is held on :. regular basis. <br /> Police ProtecHon <br /> The Boeing Company provides private security for its Everett plant. This security force <br /> provides 24-hour protection to the site and is made up of 34 security officers. Approximately <br /> eleven security officers are on dury during any shifr. Response dmes on the site range from <br /> 21 <br />
