Permit Counter
% Dear Mr. Mc Kee:
'N)t-W I am writing this letter concerning the property across the street from
mine I am at 4918 Chinook Drive. The guard rail was removed on 10/13/97, and I
am told access is being given to allow a driveway into that lot.
When I bought my property, I checked with the City of Everett, and was told
that rou of lots had access only from Mukilteo Blvd. I have documentation to that
fac , which is enclose Chinook was then a dead end street. There were, and still
are NO houses on the north side of the street that have access from Chinook Drive.
They are all accessed from Mukilteo Blvd. or Ocean Ave.
I checked very carefully on this at the time, as I was concerned because my
house has two master suites, and both of them are built very close to the road
opposite from those lots. I did not wish to move to a house that one could not sleep
in, or that would be hard to sell because of traffic and car noise all night and day. I
also did not wish to buy an expensive view house, and lose value because of traffic. I
based my purchase decision on the fact that the City of Everett told me that any
change of access to the lots would have to be posted for a hearing, and that the
neighborhood would have a chance to speak. In fact, I have six other neighbors, and
possibly more that will also object to this change.
Please respond to explain your position, and this change.
Sincerely,
Susan Morgan
2004 - 196th S.W., #2 • Lynnwood, WA 98036 • (206) 771-7257 • Fax (206) 670-1656
