If greater than
10 ppm of oil is expected as a normal occurrence, a baffle-
type oil/water separator should be provided for normal
etormwater runoff before this runoff is discharged to the
stormwater system. An oil/water separator provided for
stormwater treatment must meet all City standarda, including
provision of a bypass pipe for flows greater than the design
flow of the separator.
Design calculations must be submitted for all oil/water
separators, including information on anticipated flows to
the separator, sizing of the separator, control of flowa to
the separator to ensure that the design flow is not
siqnificently exceeded, and the design of any separator
bypass system required.
