As
part of the cancer center, the facility will provide medical physician office space and a 600 car
parking garage. This phase proposes the demolition or moving 21 of 22 Donovan homes in the
Donovan District for temporary surface parking and construction staging.
Note: A Special Property Use (SPU) permit will be required for the cancer center and parking
facility, which will include a review process separate from this docket request,or PEMC may
use the institutional overlay depending on outcome and timing of the decisions.
Phase 2B Proposed Completion in 2007
Expand emergency department and operating room capacity.
Phase 3 Proposed Completion in 2010
Construct an expansion to the hospital bed tower 1 on the site of the existing parking
garage. The structure would house beds for radiology, surgery, sleep services, intensive care,
respiratory and medical nursing patients. The building would also house labs and a pharmacy.
Before the parking garage is removed, new parking (600 potential stalls) would be
provided in the expansion area to the east, with another 300 replacement stalls proposed on the
existing campus.
Phase 4 Proposed Completion in 2015
Construct a replacement bed tower(a"replacement hospital") on the eastern expansion
site. This structure would house beds for rehabilitation, chemical dependency, telemetry,
medical and surgical patients, as well as necessary critical support functions.
- 8 -
