A water delugc open head fire protec[ion sysrem similar to existing will be installed in <br /> the new cei!ing with i�eat detection cables and new deluge val�es. Existing wacer <br /> monitors and UV/IR detectors will be maintained. <br /> 4. All new electrical equipment will be listed by an approved agency. <br /> 5. Smoke vents will be powered by mechanical fans and aciivated by the heat detector <br /> cabies or manually by fire department personnel. <br /> 6. The use of SO cords on equipment should be limited. A maintenaece schedule for <br /> inspection and replacement of cords, if used, needs to be presented to the City. <br /> 7. Energy Code requirements ner,d to be reviewed reiated to insvls!ion, lighting loads, <br /> motor efficiencies, etc. <br /> 8. Bceing intends to reuse the existing high voltage switches installed in 1987. (These <br /> switches are not UL listed) <br /> 9. Boeing is requasting variance for the following items: , <br /> Deletion �f draft curtains <br /> Use of non rated equipment in the recirculated airstream <br /> Reuse of substation high voltage switches <br /> Use of deluge fire protection system when fueled aircraft in hangar <br /> (limited to 24 hrs) <br /> l0. Swctural modifications required for adding ceiling and stackers will not impact the <br /> stcuctural capacity of the existing facility based on original design parameters. <br /> 11. The fan room located at the bottom chord of the low bay wss cutrently dces not <br /> have a rated separat�.on. There are currently no plans to provide separation when existing <br /> fans and ductwork are replaced. <br /> AcNon Items: <br /> 1. Austin to review Energy Code for compliaince; :hen schedule meeting with Ciry to <br /> discuss specifics of the design and how it meets this code. <br /> 2. City of Everett to review requests and provide response to Boeing i�ext week.
