C�U(lCI l ��IK4�-Q/ February 8, 1995 WHEREAS, the City Council fmds that the Building Official has the authority to recommend this action pursuant to the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings; and VI��REAS, the City Council fmds that the owners have been givea notice of this Council meeting; and , � WI�REAS, the City Council, upon due coasideration, deems it in the best interest of the health, safety, and welfaze of the public that a resolution be adopted requiring the demolition of the building; NOW, THEREFORC, BE IT RESOLVED BY TI� CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF EVERETT: Section 1: That the building located at 1901 Colby Avenue, Everett, Washington, which is]egally described as follows, contains conditions which endanger the life, limb,health,property,safety,and welFare of the public: Legal description of the property is as follows: Lot 1 and 2, Block 279, Everett Division B, Plat of Everett as recorded in Volume 3, Page 60, records of Snohomish Counry Washington. Situate in the County of Snohomish, State of Washington, City of Everett �S51i4n�: That the above-described property is hereby declazed to be dangerous as defined in the Uniform Code for t�,�:;Abatement of Dangerous Buildings. Sectiort 3: Tl�at the Building Official is hereby authorized to have the building demolished and cleazed from said premises, if the demolition and debris is not completed within 30 days from the date of this resolution. Section 4: That all expenses incurred by the City as a result of said demolition work shall be made a personal obligation of the property owners or an assessment against the property, in which case the City of Everett shall ask the County Treasurer to enter the amount of the assessment upon the tax rofls against the property and collect the same with regulaz property taxes and with interest as such rate as provided in RCW 84.56.020. 77
