All new bui`.ding wiring <br /> to be installed in surface mounted electrical metallic <br /> tubing (EMT) , rigid conduit where cequired, and to be <br /> copper wire. Tubing shall be hidden in walls where <br /> major patching would not be required. <br /> Wire in at least 5 duplex wall receptacles complete <br /> throughout ench apartment unit and in addition wire in <br /> at least two duplex receptacles (small appliance) over <br /> kitchen cabinets and add a GFI duplex receptacle in each <br /> bathioom. Install metal boxes to all existing ceilinq <br /> light fixturea throughout the building and wire into <br /> • separate wall switches at convenient locations. <br /> Wire in new hot water tanks and run new wi.ring to �neW <br /> receptacles for electric ranqes, ranges to be installed <br /> by owner at a later date in each unit. <br /> Heating. Pr.�vide and wire in new recessed electric wall <br /> heaters wit:: fans and heater mounted thermostats <br /> thcoughout all areas of each apartment unit (no heaters <br /> in unit hallways and kitchens) , installing heaters under <br /> coom windows where possible. New heatera to be Markel <br /> Mark i (3120 series) or equal. All new electric heat to <br /> all apartment units shall be capable of maintaining a <br /> room temperature of 70° F at a point three feet above <br /> the floor. <br /> Wire in new duplex receptacles, two per building main <br /> hallway on each floor, locating one at eaCh end. <br /> Remove all exposed dead wiring and boxea in the <br /> building, cleaning up all areas. Clean up the wiring in <br /> the furnace and laundry room as well bringing up to <br /> code. Contractor shall be responsible to patch and <br /> match surrounding surfaces as close. as possible whece <br /> o].d wiring has been removed and� all hewly- damaged areas <br /> where new electrical work has taken place.
