The Applicant requested approval of a Special Property Use Pezmit for <br /> the location of a governmental �ervice use on [he ground floor ac street <br /> level of a retail corridor in the core area of the Ci[y of Everett, <br /> Washington. The property is located at 2722 Colby Avenue, �.erett, <br /> Washington. <br /> 2. The property is zoned B-3, Central Business Zone, and hae a <br /> Comprehensive Plan designation of 3.2, Retail Core. <br /> 3. It is [he iatent oF [he Appli�ant to lease approximately 6,000 square II <br /> feet in an exiating building on-site. This area rrill be used for office <br /> apace for the administration of the human service programs and client <br /> service programs. The expanded space crill provide offices for <br /> apptrximately ten new employees plus other employees who currently work <br /> on-aite. <br /> 4. The Applicant indicated that [he proposed pro,ject is part of a long <br /> range plan for the site. At least two stepe c:culd be involved in <br /> converting the subject property into the govezamental administrative <br /> offices for human services. These would include thee development of the <br /> 6,000 square feet as currently proposed, plus an additional development <br /> of 3,700 square feet on Colby. Another step would be the consolidation <br /> of all of the health service uses in [he 6uilding. <br /> 5.
