The 3-unit Colby Place project, SEPA
#63-91, brings the total development by this process to 34 for
1991 (within the borders of the District). Last year over 50
dwelling units were applied for in the city and county via the short
plat/short subdivision process. It doesn't take too many years at
that rate to have a significant impact on our ability to house
youngsters.
At tlie present time, SEPA is our only method of responding to
growth. Collectively, the Everett School District is impacted a great
deal each year by projects like this. Developments with 50
dwelling units are very significant and are easily distinguished in
the review process. Small ones continue to go unmitigated. ;, ;
Although we have no technical method of "objecting" to this project
at the SW corner of Hewitt and Colby Avenue, we want the record
to show that there is an adverse impact.
Thank you for this opportunity to respond. •
Sincerely,
2-.1 .
' : .>>?zea;, ...
Chuck Patten •:_  'fi,:3.:.';
.
Director of Commuuity F.elations  ,;4p`"'
 ,}> i
....s's;'.:;r.,'i.
. _ _i::;:.
'#;
An Ecul O000rtunrtv / AftlrmaUw A<Lon EmPlaVer •
Sq
