Pursuant to Ordinance No. 2097-95, a hearing is to be held to consider <br /> the budget for adoption.This Resolution calls for that hearing. Both the City BIA and the Downtown Everett <br /> Association accumulated balance from previous year's assessments reflect sufficient balances to cover costs <br /> of maintenance and outstanding obligations. The City's consultant recommends that the assessment for 2004 <br /> be waived and that the current balances be used to pay for the 2004 maintenance and outstanding obligations. <br /> By the time of the hearing all property owners in the BIA will have received timely notice of the hearing, a <br /> copy of the proposed Ordinance and BIA budget. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Adopt the Resolution calling for a Hearing on the Downtown Everett Business Improvement Area(BIA) <br /> to consider and approve the 2004 budget to be paid from current City BIA and Downtown Everett Association <br /> account balances. <br /> 76 <br />
