5 <br /> 2004. Contractor's obligations pursuant to Section 6.2 Indemnification shall survive and <br /> continue after the completion of this Agreement. <br /> 3.0 SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> 3.1 General <br /> The Contractor shall provide the services described in this Preconstruction Contract in a <br /> competent and professional manner. The Contractor shall cooperate with the Owner and Design <br /> Team for the planning,design,and development of the Project to provide for the design and <br /> construction within a reasonable time of the Project of workmanlike quality at reasonable cost <br /> while maintaining plant operations. The Owner or Owner's Representative shall direct the <br /> Contractor and the Design Team. During this preconstruction period,the Contractor's Project <br /> Manager or higher-level person will attend all design meetings and provide or oversee the <br /> services the Contractor provides to ensure development of a high quality, functional and <br /> constructible project within the expected budget and MACC when determined. <br /> 3.2 Preconstruction Administration <br /> The Contractor shall: <br /> A. Have the Contractor's Project Manager or higher level person, and other key staff of <br /> the Contractor as needed, attend the meetings listed below to discuss design, cost, <br /> schedule, construction planning, environmental protection planning, and other project <br /> issues. <br /> (1) Kickoff Meeting—one(1) full day with site visit. The design to date will be <br /> presented and value engineering and constructability review ideas will be solicited <br /> and tasks assigned. <br /> (2) Review meeting at sixty percent(60%)design completion <br /> (3) Review meeting at ninety.percent(90%)design completion <br /> (4) Ten (10)additional meetings to be scheduled as required. <br /> B. Include with the detailed monthly invoice a monthly preconstruction budget status <br /> that summarizes expenditures for the preceding month along with project to date <br /> expenditures. <br /> 3.3 Review of Drawings and Specifications <br /> The Contractor shall: <br /> A. Conduct timely detailed reviews of the Drawings and Specifications at thirty (30%) <br /> design completion, sixty percent (60%) design completion, and ninety percent (90%) <br /> design completion. The Contractor shall review constructability, possible economies, <br /> consistency and completeness of Construction Documents, and perform a complete <br /> interdisciplinary plan check of both Drawings and Specifications when they are sixty <br /> percent (60%) complete and again when they are ninety percent (90%) complete. <br /> PAGE 4 <br /> 1. 8 <br />
