Council approval of this agenda item authorized a budget revision to be prepared in the additional amount requested. Expenditure Required $66,000.00 Account Number: 665 2399000000 Amount Budgeted Additional Required $66,000.00 Account Number: 665 2399000000 SUMMARY STATEMENT: The Downtown Business Improvement Area(BIA)budget for the year 2004 has been presented to the City. Pursuant to Ordinance No. 2097-95, a hearing is to be held to consider the budget for adoption. Both the City BIA and the Downtown Everett Association accumulated balance from previous year's assessments reflect sufficient balances to cover costs of maintenance and outstanding obligations. The City's consultant recommends that the assessment for 2004 be waived and that the current balances be used to pay for the 2004 maintenance and outstanding obligations. By the time of the hearing all property owners in the BIA will have received timely notice of the hearing, a copy of the proposed Ordinance and BIA budget. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Adopt the Ordinance relating to the Downtown Everett Business Improvement Area(BIA), approving the year 2004 to be paid from current City BIA and Downtown Everett Association account balances. 1
