UP 2880 <br /> Additional Required $None <br /> DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: <br /> Approximately 8000 feet of the 40 inch diameter Sultan River Supply Line was to be converted over to use <br /> for pumping Effluent from the Water Pollution Control Facility to the Kimberly Clark Deep Water Outfall <br /> Pipe. During a detailed video inspection of the line during construction it was found that the mortar liner in <br /> the pipe was damaged. Before this line can be placed into service it must be restored. CH2M HILL designed <br /> the Effluent Pipe connecting to each end of the Sultan River Supply Line. Public Works wished to secure the <br /> services of CH2M HILL to prepare Plans and Specification needed to solicit bids to restore the liner of this <br /> pipe to a new condition. This contract addendum will add $157,000. to the original contract bring the new <br /> total to $457,500. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign Addendum No. <br /> 1 to the CH2M HILL contract, increasing the total compensation by$157,000 and extending the contract <br /> completion date by 2 months, to prepare plans and specification to restore the lining on the proposed Effluent <br /> Transfer Pipe. <br /> 74 <br />
