9 <br /> Task 8. Assist with Preconstruction Meeting <br /> CH2M HILL staff will prepare for and assist with a preconstruction meeting between the <br /> successful bidder and the City. For budget purposes,8 hours are included for this task. <br /> Task 9. Assist with Submittal Review <br /> CH2M HILL staff will assist the City with submittal review. Anticipated submittals include <br /> lining products,cathodic protection materials,and valves. The City will be responsible for <br /> distributing the comments to the contractor and construction manager. For budget purposes, <br /> 40 hours of engineer's time and 12 hours of office time are included for this task. <br /> Task 10. Site Visits during Construction <br /> If requested by the City,CH2M HILL staff will make occasional visits to the site to consult <br /> with City staff regarding construction issues. For budget purposes,40 hours are included. <br /> Task 11. Assist with Change Orders and RFIs <br /> As requested by the City,CH2M HILL staff will assist with responding to the contractor's <br /> Requests for Information(RFIs). The RFIs will be submitted from the contractors to the City <br /> and the City will transmit selected technical RFIs to CH2M HILL for preparation of a <br /> response. Responses to RFIs will be transmitted to City staff who will,in turn,transmit the <br /> response to the contractor. As requested by the City,CH2M HILL staff will assist with <br /> preparing change orders for the construction contract. This work may involve revising <br /> drawings,revising specifications,additional design effort,and review of cost proposals. For <br /> budget purposes,40 hours are included for this task. <br /> Task 12. Assistance with Preparation of the Record Drawings <br /> The construction contractor will redline a set of drawings for use in preparing the record <br /> drawings as specified in the contract documents. City inspection staff will review and <br /> approve the redline drawings prior to their conversion to record drawings. CH2M HILL will <br /> assist the City by modifying the electronic version of the drawings to include the changes <br /> during construction based on the redline markups. CH2M HILL will assume that a single set <br /> of redline drawings marked by the contractor and approved by the City will be provided,and <br /> that the drawings are correct. <br /> A draft set of the record drawings will be sent to the City for review. The City's comments <br /> will be incorporated into the final record drawings. Five sets of the final record drawings will <br /> be provided to the City as well as electronic files in AutoCAD 2002 format. <br /> Task 13. Undefined Services <br /> Should items arise during the construction of the project that are not included in the scope of <br /> work or within the level of effort assumed,the City may direct CH2M HILL to assist with <br /> these items or provide additional effort. This task is controlled by the City of Everett and may <br /> not be used without written direction by the City. This task is specifically designed to allow <br /> payment to CH2M HILL for changes in the scope of work that the City of Everett determines <br /> to be necessary.
