9 <br /> • <br /> Task 4. Design Cathodic Protection System <br /> CH2M HILL will design a cathodic protection system for the Crosstown Pipeline. It is <br /> anticipated that the system will consist of two deep well anode ground beds._ CH2M HILL <br /> will coordinate the design of the cathodic protection system with other utility owners who <br /> have metallic lines in the area to minimize interference. <br /> Task 5. Preparation of Bid Documents for Repair of Lining <br /> Eight plan/profile drawings will be prepared at a scale of 1-inch equals 100 feet. The <br /> plan/profile drawings will include allowable locations for entry pits. In addition,a cover <br /> sheet,index sheet,abbreviation sheet,and up to five detail sheets will be prepared. The <br /> drawings will include aerial photographs furnished by the City. New air valves will be <br /> included as part of the project. No utility research will be performed at the allowable entry pit <br /> locations. The construction contractor will be required to have the utilities paint marked. If <br /> there are utility conflicts at any of the pit locations,the contractor and City staff may jointly <br /> select an alternate location for the pit. <br /> The City's most recent legal documents will be furnished by the City and customized by <br /> CH2M HILL for the relining project. Sections will include title sheet,notice to contractors, <br /> table of contents,instructions to bidders,special provisions,proposal,and contract. <br /> CH2M HILL will prepare the technical specifications for the project. Anticipated sections <br /> include site preparation,site coordination,erosion and sediment control,excavation,locating <br /> existing utilities,trench backfill,surface restoration, pipe products,lining products,concrete <br /> curbs and sidewalks,asphalt concrete pavement,valves, and system testing. <br /> Five copies of the 30%,60%,90%,and 99% review documents will be submitted to the City. <br /> The review comments will be incorporated into the documents. Final,full-size,drawings will <br /> be stamped and delivered to the City. Sixty sets of bound bid documents including half-size <br /> drawings will be provided. The CCTV tapes will be converted to DVD format and be made <br /> available to the bidders. Twenty copies of the DVDs will be produced. Bid documents will be <br /> distributed by the City. <br /> CH2M HILL will prepare an opinion of probable cost for the relining project. <br /> Task 6. Assist with Public Involvement and Easement Acquisition <br /> As requested by the City,CH2M HILL will assist with public involvement and easement <br /> acquisition activities. Public involvement assistance is anticipated to include preparation of <br /> graphics for public meetings. For purposes of budgeting,16 hours are included for this task. <br /> Task 7. Assist with Bidding and Preparation of Conformed Drawings <br /> CH2M HILL staff will assist the City with:1) responding to questions received from <br /> contractors and suppliers during the bidding period,2) distributing the DVDs,3) a site tour <br /> and pre-bid meeting,and,4) if required,preparation of addenda. CH2M HILL staff will <br /> prepare conformed drawings and specifications.
