f
Larry Crawford
Dept. of Public Works, City of Everett II
June 26, 1996 ;
Page Two

as yet, been filled. Slowly but surely over the next several years and with the parmission {
of Mr. Ray Stewart (former owner of lots 7 and 8, and the former owner of lot 26), Block
10, Climac Land Company's first addition. I slowly filled that entire area to create the j
northem parldng lot for McDonald's. When that was completed,the alley was
blacktopped by the city. On the advice of my attomey, I implanted the plaque that I have j
previously mailed to you. ;
When we visited, l called your attention to Washington Administrative Code 51-Iq
Parking Requirements, I also fumished to you Pages 3-679 and 35-631, regarding
parking requirements by the Americans with Disability Act, anytime a building has
undergone modification or remodeling. Initially you indicated the ciry requ'ved the owner
to maintain a minimum of five eight-and-one-half foot wide stalis. This has not been
done. In addition,the requirements for parking, as per Weshington Administrative Code
51-10, plus the enclosed sections ofthe American Disability Act, have not been
implemented. I note the office spaces that have been created, are being occupied, and
presently used.
Please advise what the city is doing with regard to enforcement.
Kin gards,
c
W' .
