Expenditure Required $ 57,500.00 Account Number(s): 665 2399000000 Amount Budgeted Additional Required $ 57,500.00 Account Number(s): 665 2399000000 DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: The Downtown Everett Association (DEA) has provided services in the Business Improvement Area (BIA) since the beginning of the BIA. It is willing to continue this service throughout the remainder of the year 2004. Because of the uncertainty concerning the future course that the BIA would take, revision of the agreement with the DEA was delayed until now. Accordingly, the contract relationship between the City and the DEA needs to be extended to the end of the year 2004. The terms of the proposed agreement are essentially the same as those of the previous agreement. The City and DEA agree that the period between January 1, 2004 and the time of this agreement are covered by the former agreement. Expenditures in addition to this year's budgeted amount for the BIA are made from existing surplus funds of the DEA. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to execute the Agreement with the Downtown Everett Association for the year 2004 to provide services for the Business Improvement Area. 15
