The existing
pump control is an HOA switch which doesn't make much sense to use with an on-off
switch at the pump which is what is there now. We are changing out the control to
three wire control(start-stop pushbutton). This is a better control arrangement for
what we are doing here. We are putting in run dry protection and so I would probably
have had to modify the existing controls anyway. The run dry protection is our $2,400
recommendation but the existing record drawings show separate back up low level
switches for this but they don't appear to be there any more. Includes time for
revisions in response to last requested modifications prior to the 90%submittal that
remain to be done. Per the 3/18/04 meeting, the alum day tank level monitor will be
implemented by the City. The City will install a Milltronics unit and wire it to to the
remote I/O panel.
•
Alum tanks electrical demolition
The electrical demolition for these tanks is to include all of the conduits to them
practically since Jim McKee wants all conduits that are stubbed up to be removed. To $2,400
show this demolition on contract drawings to the extent that it is biddable is taking
additional time.
Alum and polymer tanks power service
Our original scope indicates that we had intended to cover this via a single panel
located outside the new building. Jim McKee indicated that they did not want to do $1,600
this. We are therefore locating new circuits in existing panels that can be used and
looking at the logistics of routing them to the new structure.
Move fill station to east side of alum/polymer building
Original scope and direction up until 3/18/04 meeting was to locate fill station on the
north side of building. Will need new wall light and surveillance camera and alarm
$2,100
light and horn. Need to delete the existing horn unit and coordinate control
requirements for this(need a local alarm reset too?).
Upper and lower level catwalks
Not included in original scope. Required additional structural engineering and CAD
$8,100
time.
New polymer transfer pump and controls
The polymer transfer pump was not in the original scope of work. Also includes new
pneumatic shut off valves and control and locating polymer controls in a different panel
(space is very limited). Per the meeting on 3/18/04,new polymer pump controls need $6,600
to be located in the existing polymer panel. Will need to detail a new panel front face
and specify the change out.
alarm,-Per the 3/18/04 meeting,no need for tank temp monitors.Add a room temp $1.000
monitor connected to plant SCADA
Prepare polymer system schematic
Direction at 3/18/04 meeting was to prepare a P&ID schematic for polymer system $500
since piping arrangement is different than the alum system.
29
