7 <br /> OVERVIEW OF CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT ASSISTANCE <br /> It is assumed that the City will provide a Construction Manager. The Consultant will provide limited <br /> involvement during construction by assisting the Construction Manager. Unless otherwise stated herein,the <br /> Consultant will rely on the Construction Manager to handle the majority of construction management <br /> responsibilities. <br /> The budget development for Tasks 610 through 680 below assumes a limited Consultant involvement <br /> through 12 months of working-day construction period. Additional engineering services required beyond <br /> this period or in addition to the allocated labor hours stated herein will be conducted in accordance with the <br /> Agreement. <br /> Task 501. Prepare Existing Base Mapping <br /> Objective. To capture the existing site base mapping and the drawings depicting the facilities at the EWFP. <br /> Approach. The City's electronically prepared drawings have been recently updated to support other EWFP <br /> projects and include survey data and conversion of all vertical datum to NAVD 88_ It is therefore assumed <br /> that the electronic site drawings prepared by the City are adequate and will be used for this project. The <br /> mapping depicts the known buried utilities. No additional surveying or buried utility potholing will be <br /> included in this task. Utility locates and potholing may be conducted by the General Contractor (GC). A <br /> topographic map will be prepared at 1"=20' scale from aerial photographs and field survey data obtained <br /> specifically for this project as an AutoCAD file. Maps will show all existing surface features and,when the <br /> information is available from record drawings or observed in the field, will also show surface and buried <br /> utilities, access roads, property lines, and easements. Contour interval will be 1-foot. Coverage will include <br /> all areas where new and future facilities are proposed. <br /> All structures for this project are newly designed and thus no existing as-built drawings are required. <br /> Products. The products for this task are the preliminary design mapping to be used by the Consultant for <br /> this Project. <br /> City's Responsibilities. <br /> 1.
