Co. <br /> D.E.M. <br /> Council approval of this agenda item authorizes a budget revision in the additional amount requested. <br /> Expenditure Required $ -0- Account Number(s): <br /> Amount Budgeted $ -0- <br /> Additional Required $ -0- <br /> DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: <br /> Any member entity may withdraw from the Snohomish County Department of Emergency Management by <br /> giving written notification requesting withdrawal and representing, in writing, that it has a plan for <br /> emergency services approved by the State effective by the withdrawal date pursuant to Chapter 38.52 RCW. <br /> Such written notice is to be tendered to the Director on or before June 1st, to be effective January 1st of the <br /> succeeding year. The City of Everett Office of Emergency Management has a plan to be submitted to the <br /> State with projected-approval date of September 14, 2004. Emergency Management will bring forward to <br /> City Council the City Emergency Management Ordinance, September 2004 for approval. The City will <br /> continue to participate in regional emergency management activities and work with county and regional <br /> jurisdictions cooperatively to enhance emergency management capabilities. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign the letter of intent to withdraw from the Snohomish County Department of <br /> Emergency Management <br /> 1-9 <br />
