The City of Everett looks forward to continuing <br /> our collaborative efforts in emergency management and continues to value DEM's <br /> regional guidance. <br /> An assessment of the City's current emergency management needs indicates a city-specific <br /> emergency management service will benefit the citizens of Everett and reduce duplication <br /> of effort in local emergency management activities. <br /> The following withdrawal plan provides for State-approved City emergency management <br /> services compliant with RCW 38.52 by the withdrawal date of January 1, 2005. <br /> May 31, 2004 Letter of Intent to withdraw to DEM <br /> August 1, 2004 Submission of promulgated City Comprehensive Emergency <br /> Management Plan to the State for approval <br /> September 1, 2004 City Council ratifies new City Emergency Management <br /> Ordinance establishing the City's Emergency Management <br /> Division. <br /> September 14, 2004 Approved plan or suggested revisions due back from the <br /> State <br /> 20 <br /> CITY OF EVERETT•2930 Wetmore Ave., Suite 10-A• Everett, WA 98201 • (425) 257-8700 • Fax (425) 257-8729 <br />
