Expenditure Required $ 735,000 Account Number(s): Fund 354,Program 018 Amount Budgeted $ 735,000 Additional Required $-0- DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: The attached ordinance will close Fund 354,.Program 018 "Walter E. Hall Soccer Field Improvements Project." The improvements included the installation of DDGrassmaster vertical stabilization system. The system consists of synthetic turf fibers installed vertically into the sand-based natural turf every 3/4"on center about 8" deep. This was able to be accomplished through the existing sand-based natural turf and allowed play immediately after installation,no recovery or re-growth time was needed. The new,vertically stabilized turf allows the field to be used three times as many hours per season without increased maintenance costs. The improvements were completed at a cost of$735,000. There are no outstanding financial obligations or uncollected revenue. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Adopt the proposed Ordinance closing Fund 354,Program 018 "Walter E.Hall Soccer Field Improvements Project."
