Expenditure Required $ 28,386.00 Account Number(s):009 50000 23 450 Amount Budgeted $ -0- Additional Required $ 28,386.00 DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: A lease extension (Amendment No. 2) has been negotiated with Everett Professional Properties LLC for the 11,000+/ square feet located at 2730 Colby Avenue. The lease amendment is for 2 years and begins on October 1St of 2004 and terminates on September 30, 2006. In addition there is an option for two (2), one year extensions that are activated by giving notice to the lessor at least 90 days prior to the lease termination. The gross lease rate will be $9,462.00 per month which is the same amount that the city currently pays. In addition the option(s) gross rental rate is also at $9,462.00 per month. The existing budget expires on September 30, 2004, therefore additional funding for the remaining 3 months of the year will be required ($28,386.00) RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to execute Lease Amendment No. 2 with Everett Professional Properties for the Police Department evidence room located at 2730 Colby Avenue.
