• <br /> City of Everett <br /> Proposition No. <br /> PRESERVATION AND ENHANCEMENT OF PUBLIC TRANSIT SERVICE <br /> Shall the City of Everett fix and impose an increase of the sales and use <br /> tax from three tenths of one percent (0.03 percent) to six tenths of one percent <br /> (0.06 percent) on sales and use activity within the City of Everett to preserve and <br /> enhance the current level of public transit service including bus service and <br /> paratransit service for people with disabilities, provide for anticipated future bus, <br /> paratransit and capital needs to suiport Everett's growth, improve service <br /> coordination with Sound Transit, Community Transit and the Washington State <br /> Ferry System, make other improvements and provide for future transit needs as <br /> authorized by Resolution No. ? <br /> Yes <br /> No <br /> The clerk of the city of Everett is hereby authorized and directed to deliver a <br /> certified copy of this Resolution to the Snohomish County Auditor. <br /> Section 5: Severability: <br /> In the event any one or more of the provisions of this resolution shall for any <br /> reason be held to be invalid, such invalidity shall not affect or invalidate any <br /> other provision of this resolution, but this resolution shall be construed and <br /> enforced as if such invalid provision had not been contained herein; provided, <br /> that any provision which shall for any reason be held to be invalid shall be <br /> deemed to be in effect to the extent permitted by law. <br /> Councilperson Introducing Resolution <br /> Mark Olson <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this day of July 2004. <br /> Council President Arlan Hatloe Ron Gipson <br /> 4 i9 <br />
