Expenditure Required $ -0- Account Number(s): Amount Budgeted $ -0- Additional Required $ -0- DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: On July 8, 2004,the Sound Transit (ST)Board approved action to enter into a funding agreement with the City of Everett to design and build the North Everett Transit Center. The transit center is a Phase I project in the 1995 Sound Move plan. Since the plan was developed, Sound Transit has determined that it does not have an immediate need for a transit center in north Everett,however it does recognize the value of a center to facilitate Everett Transit services that coordinate with ST Regional Express buses in downtown Everett and at Everett Station. The agreement will allow ST to commit up to $1,452,400 to the project. One million dollars are dedicated for right-of-way acquisition and the balance will provide the local match for$1,622,263 in federal grant dollars all ready secured by the City of Everett. The agreement designates the City of Everett as the project lead, allowing ST to participate at a staff level to the degree it deems appropriate during project development.
