Expenditure Required $ 33,907 Account Number(s): Amount Budgeted $250,000 UP 3195-1 Additional Required $ -0- DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: The original agreement with Carollo Engineers, P.C., authorized the Consultant to complete Engineering Design and Permitting for the Weyco Intertie project. The City reserved the right to supplement the original agreement to authorize the Consultant to provide additional engineering services for the rehabilitation of the existing Weyco pipeline. This Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with Carollo Engineers, P.C., amends the original scope of work by adding Exhibit A-1 (Scope of Work) and Exhibit B-1,which includes the updated 2004 Rate Schedule and an estimated Project Cost Summary by task for the additional engineering services. These services include: inspection of the interior and exterior of 54- year old 40-inch Weyco concrete cylinder pipeline,recommend if, how, and when rehabilitation or replacement of the pipeline is needed. The Supplemental Agreement No. 1 also extends the completion date of the contract from June 30, 2005 to December 31, 2007 to allow for the completion of the rehabilitation of the Weyco pipeline. This Supplemental Agreement No. 1 will increase the total compensation, including all services and expenses,by a total of$33,907 for a grand total of$105,807. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the mayor to sign Supplemental Agreement No. 1 with Carollo Engineers, P.C., to inspect and to make a recommendation on the rehabilitation of the Weyco Pipeline for an additional cost of $33,907.
