This program will allow the Museum to bring in artists to display their <br /> talents and work directly with children. The new Art Studio is a perfect venue for a variety of <br /> types of art projects allowing the children the chance to use their imaginations and gain access <br /> to art professionals. Funds will be used solely for the Guest Artist Project— to provide a <br /> stipend and offset supplies. <br /> Everett Choral 650 11,095 1,420 1,000 I <br /> A Musical Journey with Women Composers . The first half of the program will feature <br /> sacred works by Hildegard of Bingem, Maddalena Casulana, Isabella Leonarda, Amy Beach <br /> and Ethel Smyth. The second portion will feature secular works by Linda Spevacek, <br /> Williamettta Spencer, Alice Parker and Andrea Klouse. Funding would be used to hire three <br /> brass players and fund the commission of an original choral composition by a prominent <br /> northwest woman composer. <br /> verett Theatre Society 1,300 16,175 2,000 1,900 <br /> One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. A live performance play that presents Randle Patrick <br /> McMurphy, a rebellious inmate of a psychiatric hospital who fights back against authorities cold <br /> attitudes of institutional superiority, personified by Nurse Ratched and her staff. It's the classic <br /> antiestablishment tale of one man asserting his individuality in the face of a repressive, <br /> conformist system. Funds will be used to help pay for the production costs (royalties, PR, set <br /> construction, etc.) <br /> I Everett Theatre Society 1,800 17,678 2,000 500 <br /> "Silents, Please!" is the Everett Theatre Society's on-going silent movie program. For the <br /> 2004-2005 season they will be screening a silent film every second Tuesday of each month <br /> starting in October. A survey done a year ago found that comedy is preferred by the public, so <br /> the majority of the films will be of this genre. Tentatively scheduled films include Our <br /> Hospitality, Battling Butler, College, Long Pants, and the Dixie Flyer. Funds will be used to help <br /> pay for the costs in obtaining each film in the series. <br /> 10 <br />
