Two day festival, March 25th and 26th. In their continuing efforts to support local filmmakers, they will be sponsoring Denise Ohio's completed version of The Verona about Everett's early history. Funds will help pay for theatre rental fees. Everett Youth Symphony 1,500 63,416 2,500 2,500 2004-2005 Concert Series. Three concerts at the Everett Civic Auditorium. Led by the professional conductors, each of the four orchestras perform several pieces of classical music. The orchestras are prepared for the concerts by working at 10 weekly rehearsals with the conductors, coaches and professional musicians. The musicians and the audience are introduced to all types of classical music and composers. Funds would pay for the printing of the concert programs that are distributed at the free concerts. KSER 1,100 20,700 5,000 1,950 KSER Annual Concert. The concert is a fundraiser on behalf of the KSER Foundation. KSER is the only independent community radio station in Western Washington and one of only three such stations in the entire state. As a non-commercial radio station, KSER relies on its listeners and the communities it serves for support. This support comes from memberships, underwriting for the programming, and off-air fund-raising projects ranging from benefit concerts and auctions to operating a 50/50 raffle at Everett AquaSox home baseball games during the summer months. Funds would be used to pay artist fees. Northwest Savoyards 8,000 121,902 2,000 1,000 Performances by the Northwest Savoyards and Debut Theatre. Debut Theatre, a theatre organization with the main objective of theatre for children, has merged with our organization. The focus for Debut Theatre will remain children, and one production will be for children. Northwest Savoyards will present two Broadway productions and one Gilbert and Sullivan production, all family friendly. Funds will be used to help defray costs of storage and theatre rentals. Olympic Ballet Theatre 1,100 24,600 1,500 1,500 Peter and the Wolf, with music by Prokofiev, delightfully introduces children to the instruments of the orchestra. New this year, along with Peter and the Wolf, is The Alchemist's Dream an intriguing spoof on a character with many faces. A trademark of OBT is their Introduction to the Magic of Theatre, where audience members view a special behind the scenes demonstration of scenery, lighting, costumes, props and ballet technique. School day matinees are scheduled in addition to regular shows, encouraging school groups to attend. Funds will be used to pay promotional expenses, increased production costs, and artistic expenses for Peter and the Wolf. 11.
