14 <br /> • Continued use of automated trip-planning software. The Regional Area Trip Planning program <br /> is a coordinated effort between five transit systems in the Puget Sound area. <br /> • Continued to participate in the Regional Fare Coordination project (Smart Card). Everett <br /> Transit continued to distribute the regional "PugetPass"to 13 pass outlets within the city <br /> limits. <br /> • Staff participation in the operation of Everett Station continued. Staff provided financial, <br /> technical and record keeping assistance, grants administration, and served on the contract <br /> facility operation oversight team. <br /> • Continued the joint Everett Transit and Washington State Ferries "Ship to Shore/Short Route" <br /> as part of the regional PugetPass program. This pass allows customers to travel on transit <br /> services in the region as well as on the ferry system. <br /> • Continued to staff and participate in all applicable regional and local transit meetings, <br /> monitored program developments and provided policy and technical analysis to the <br /> department and to the Mayor's office. <br /> 4)Public transportation providers will continue to meet ADA and state barrier-free design <br /> regulations and improve mobility for the special needs population. <br /> • All ET facility development adheres to the requirements of ADA and state barrier free <br /> regulations. <br /> • New buses are also procured to meet ADA requirements. <br /> 5)Improve and develop urban public transportation services, facilities, and programs, <br /> including as options, HCT, HOV lanes, and transportation demand management (TDM) to <br /> respond to growth, and to meet local and regional economic development, congestion, <br /> energy and clean air objectives. <br /> • Everett Transit has continued to provide significant staff resources to the development of a <br /> successful regional transit authority. Participation in the regional Smart Card program, Transit <br /> Integration Group (TIG) fares, service planning, operations, and customer service committees, <br /> and development of ST Express and Sounder service in Everett enhance the presence and <br /> viability of Sound Transit in Everett and throughout Snohomish County. <br /> • Continued to oversee the City's Commute Trip Reduction(CTR) program and to administer <br /> and review annual employer CTR reports for 33 affected work sites within city limits. Staff <br /> also made program recommendations to strengthen employer programs. The annual reports <br /> document employer efforts in meeting CTR goals. <br /> • Continued to enhance the City's rideshare program, Smart M.O.V.E,with a marketing <br /> program that promotes commuting to and from work by alternative modes of transportation. <br /> Participated in county wide promotional activities with other CTR affected employers. <br /> - - 7 <br /> in <br />
