• 14 <br /> Objective#3: Continue coordination and planning efforts started in 2003 with the Port of Everett <br /> for public transportation elements of the North Marina Redevelopment project including <br /> transportation links to downtown and Everett Station. <br /> Utilize the City's GIS services for fixed-route system analysis and transit facility <br /> improvements planning. <br /> Objective#1: To continue to develop a GIS database of bus stops, facilities, and amenities for <br /> planning purposes. <br /> Objective#2: Create and identify mapping layers to be used in: 1) delineating bus service on <br /> existing road ways; 2)bus stops and facilities/amenities; and 3) referencing of bus routes in the <br /> City for the purpose of land use permitting, roadway impacts and other related activities. <br /> 2) Preserve existing public transportation facilities and equipment. <br /> • Everett Transit has continued to use preventive maintenance in order to keep its equipment <br /> and facilities in optimal condition. <br /> • Between 2004 & 2010, approximately 24 buses and 12 paratransit vehicles are due for <br /> replacement. <br /> • Ten shelters and ten benches are scheduled for replacement in 2005. <br /> • In 2005 Everett Transit will begin a program of partnering with the neighborhood groups in <br /> the design,placement and maintenance of neighborhood shelters. <br /> 3) Integrate public transportation services into a coordinated system linked by <br /> intermodal facilities. <br /> Continue development of the multi-modal transportation center, Everett Station. <br /> Objective#1: Continue staff participation as managers of the Station's operations and <br /> maintenance contract and coordinators of transit, intercity bus, and rail services. <br /> Objective #2: Continue coordinating efforts with Sound Transit for the completion of the east and <br /> south parking lots and implementation of 2"d Sounder train,4th quarter 2005. <br /> Continue development of the North Everett Transit Center at Everett Community College. <br /> Objective#1: Complete environmental process and acquire necessary property for construction in <br /> 2006. <br /> Objective#2: Work with Sound Transit and Everett Community College and neighborhood <br /> groups as major stakeholders in developing a project compatible with the college's <br /> Comprehensive Plan. <br /> 4) Public transportation providers will continue to meet ADA and state barrier- <br /> free design regulations and improve mobility for the special needs population. <br /> - - 10 <br /> 1 (13 <br />
