Interagency Agreement No. C0600004 <br /> Community Litter Cleanup Program 1- <br /> Agreement with City of Everett <br /> It is mutually agreed, that the RECIPIENT shall furnish the necessary personnel, <br /> equipment, material and/or services, and/or otherwise do all things necessary for or <br /> incidental to the performance of the work set forth below. <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Recipient Responsibilities: <br /> 1. PROJECT: Litter & Illegal Dump Cleanup <br /> Maximum Eligible Cost: $ 30,312 <br /> Schedule: July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2007 <br /> Goal Statement: <br /> The goal of this project is to remove litter and illegally dumped material from public land in <br /> the City of Everett. <br /> Project Description: <br /> The RECIPIENT shall utilize public works crews to pick up illegally dumped material and <br /> litter from public streets, beaches, parks, trails, ravines, streams, right-of-ways, parking <br /> lots, and other public properties. The RECIPIENT will clean public areas as they are <br /> discovered by Public Works and or as litter and dump sites are reported to the City by area <br /> residents. Waste Reduction Recycling and Model Litter Control Account funding may be <br /> used to clean private land only with prior authorization from ECOLOGY and when <br /> conforming to program guidelines. Collected material shall be transported from cleanup <br /> sites to an appropriate solid waste transfer station or material recovery facility. Public <br /> Works staff will be the primary workforce for this program. Student and volunteer help <br /> may be utilized as available and appropriate. <br /> The RECIPIENT will support large community cleanup events by providing container rentals <br /> and transportation services. The RECIPIENT may also use funds to support neighborhood <br /> and community cleanup programs to clean specific geographic locales or special interest <br /> public lands. The RECIPIENT shall and to continue support of City's Adopt-a-Street <br /> program through administrative oversight and supply distribution. <br /> Eligible Costs: <br /> The RECIPIENT shall use awarded funds to pay for disposal of collected material, <br /> administration costs, and salary and benefits of crews while performing eligible activities. <br /> Community Investments: <br /> Community Investments include the following: equipment, tools, and supplies, crew salary <br /> and benefits, and additional administration. <br /> Expected Outcomes/Impacts: <br /> The RECIPIENT expects to accomplish the following: <br /> • 1,400 hours worked <br /> • 40 acres cleaned <br /> • 400 illegal dumps picked up <br /> • 140,000 pounds of material collected, of which 5% will be recycled <br /> 2 of 6 1 <br />
