Description of Public Service Programs Recommended for <br /> Community Development Block Grant Funding in 2005 <br /> 1. Advocates for the Rights of Citizens with Developmental Disabilities (ARC) <br /> Specialized Housing Program <br /> CDBG funds will be used to pay for staffing for this program. The program will <br /> provide help for people with developmental disabilities in three areas: 1) <br /> Location and retention of affordable housing; 2) Education and training and, <br /> 3) Alternative living support. <br /> Recommended 2005 appropriated funds $10,000.00 <br /> 2. Catholic Community Services - Volunteer Program Services <br /> This program will reimburse the transportation costs of volunteers providing <br /> services to clients residing within the city of Everett. <br /> Recommended 2005 appropriated funds $5,000.00 <br /> 3. Everett Family YMCA - Child Care for Low Income Parents <br /> CDBG funds will be used for the YMCA's child care program to meet the growing <br /> need for infant care for low-income families. <br /> Recommended 2005 appropriated funds $8,000.00 <br /> 4. Assistance league of Everett— Operation School Bell <br /> The goal of this program is to ensure that homeless children and children living <br /> in poverty have adequate school clothing and hygiene supplies. <br /> Recommended 2005 appropriated funds $1,500.00 <br /> 5. Boys and Girls Clubs of Snohomish County <br /> This program provides scholarships to low-income children to participate in the <br /> Everett Boy's and Girl's Clubs activities throughout the year. <br /> Recommended 2005 appropriated funds $9,000.00 <br /> 8I <br />
