Imagine Children's Museum — English language Learner Summer Program <br /> The Children's Museum will provide a summer enrichment program for low- <br /> income Hispanic/Latino children who are struggling to learn the English <br /> language. The program will help the children develop skills to overcome the <br /> enormous challenges they face, which are largly a result of their language <br /> barriers and economic status. <br /> Recommended 2005 appropriated funds $10,560.00 <br /> 7. Cocoon House <br /> Cocoon House is an organization established to provide a house in Everett to <br /> shelter homeless and at-risk teenagers. This is a neighborhood community <br /> based project. Goals are to provide a loving, supportive environment, which <br /> provides youth with an alternative to street life and violence at home. <br /> Recommended 2005 appropriated funds $20,000.00 <br /> 8. Volunteers of America - Rental Housing Mediation Service <br /> This project provides neutral rental housing mediation to both owners and <br /> tenants of low income rental properties. <br /> Recommended 2005 appropriated funds $18,080.00 <br /> 9. Volunteers of America — Community Outreach and Support Services <br /> This is a public service, which attempts to assist families and individuals who are <br /> dependent on social services in becoming economically independent and self <br /> sufficient. <br /> Recommended 2005 appropriated funds $10,000.00 <br /> 10. Pilchuck Area Council of Camp Fire, Inc. - Campships <br /> The funds will provide financial assistance to low income children to attend <br /> Camp Killoqua in the summer of 2006. <br /> Recommended 2005 appropriated funds $2,135.00 <br /> '3 <br />
