. � � .� <br /> 18. The fire flow requirement is 2,000 GPM. <br /> 19. Two available fire hydrants are required. A fire hydrant is required within 200 <br /> driving feet, but not closer than 50 feet, of every structure. The location of the <br /> hydrant must be approved by the Fire Marshal. <br /> 20. A portable fire extinguisher w�th a minimum UL rating of 2-A:10-B:C must be <br /> provided within 75 feet travel distance on each floor of all portions of the building <br /> during construction and priar to occupancy. <br /> 21. Fire lanes must be provided as required in Everett Municipal Code 46.44. Fire <br /> lanes must be identified by red curbs with white stenciling stating "NO PARKING <br /> - FIRE LANE" and veriical signs stating "NO PARKING - FIRE LANE - TOW <br /> AWAY ZONE." Location must be approved by the Fire Marshal. <br /> 22. The premises must be clearly identified by address so as to be visible and <br /> legible from the street entry. <br /> 23. When access to or within a structure or an area is unduly difficult because of <br /> secured openings or where immediate access is necessary for life saving or fire- <br /> fighfing purposes, the Fire Department may recommend or reyuire a key box to <br /> be installed in an accessible location. A rapid entry system may also be <br /> desirable in order to avoid unnecessary damage while making entry to any <br /> building during an emergency situation. <br /> Please call 257-8120.for further information. <br /> 24. The City of Everett prohibits outdoor buming. Therefore, outdoor buming for the <br /> purpose of disposing of construction debris or rubbish will not be permittAd. <br /> 25. Fire hydrants and access roads must be in service prior to commencement of <br /> construction. <br /> 26. Fire safety pra�tices during construction must be in compliance with the Uniform <br /> Fire Code, 1985 Edition, Article 87, "Fire Safety During Construction." <br /> 27. M approved automatic �re detection �ystem ��nust be in compliance with Ciry <br /> Ordinance No. 1902-92, Chapter 16.76, of the Everett Municipal Code. Uniform <br /> Fire Code. Plans for such system must be submitted to the Fire Marshal for <br /> review and approval prior to installation. Submittsl shall include cut sheets of all <br /> equipment intended for use. Appropriate trip tests, witnessed by a Fire <br /> Department inspector, must be pertormed prior to final acceptance of the <br /> system. Fire alarm systems shall be installed according to NFPA Standard 72. <br /> Fire alarm system must be installed under permit of the City of Everett Building <br /> Department.
