4 <br /> 1 <br /> 3. Evergreen Way is designated as a "Gateway" corridor in the City's General Plan. The <br /> General Plan states, "Because Everett wants to develop and promote an attractive <br /> image, all entry corridors into the City should be designated as "Gateways" and <br /> standards should be applied to developments along such "Gateways" relating to building <br /> design, landscaping, signage, outdoor storage and other aesthetic considerations that <br /> will serve to upgrade EveretYs image." To meet the intent of the policy, the follov�iing <br /> requirements must be met: <br /> a. Street trees must be provided on the Evergreen Way frontage, with species <br /> approved by the Parks Department. Street trees must be planted at 20 feet on <br /> center. (SEPA Land and Shoreline Use Policies.) <br /> The lead agency for this proposal has determined that it does not have a probable significant <br /> adverse impact on the environment. An Environmental Impact Statement is not required under <br /> RCW 43.21 C.030(2)(c). This determination assumes compliance with State Iaw and City <br /> ordinances related to general environmental protection including but not limited to right-of-way <br /> improvement requirements, drainage, etc. This decision was made after review of a completed <br /> environmental checklist and other information on file with the lead agency. This information is <br /> available to the pubiic on request.
