These comments address building issues only. Additional revisions or additions <br />may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All <br />references refer to the 1997 Uniform Building Code, as amended by the State of <br />Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 1997 Edition, unless sta[ed <br />otherwise. <br />In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to <br />provide the Building Division with two complete sets of drawings retlecting the <br />corrections requested. <br />1. The proposed upper level is required to be wheelchair accessible per UBC <br />1103.1.1. Ramps with a slope of more than 1:12 do not meet this requirement. If <br />an elevator were to be installed, the maximum slope of any ramp is limited to 1:8 <br />(UBC 1003.3.4.3). <br />2. The roll-up doors in the area separation wal(s must remain closed or be held open �USifi��7 <br />by magnetic hold-open devices which close the door in the event of a fire. This L�NK i <br />should be specified. " <br />3. Unless rhe ramps are made to comply (see item one), second exits are required <br />from the upper levels of buildings A& B. Travel distance shall not exceed 250 ft. <br />per UBC 1004.2.5.2.2. <br />�� <br />5. <br />� <br />The ne�v door at the north end appears ro be 2'-0" from a properry line. This is <br />prohibited by UBC 503.2.1 and 1006.2.1. <br />Two exits are required from the upper level office area. UBC 10U=�.2.3.2. <br />Walfs and partitions should be included on the tloor plans, .i.e. bathroom <br />locations. <br />��L <br />
