Plans for any such system shall be submitted to the Building Department and the Everett Fire <br />Department for examination and approval. Such plans shall include plans for the underground <br />mains that will supply the sprinkler system. <br />Aboveground sprinkler piping shall be hydrostatically tested as established in NFPA Standazd 13. <br />Underground piping shall be hydrosiatically tested and flusaed as established in NFPA Stmdard 24 <br />for private fire mains. All such tests shall be witnessed by a Fire Deparcment inspector. Call (425; <br />257-8123 to make an appointment for inspection. <br />Contractors' materials and test certificates shall be submitted to the Everett Fire Department prior <br />to issuance of any Certificates of Occupancy. <br />Call (425) 2:i7-8123 for more mformation. <br />23. Fire Safery - Fire safery practices during construction shall be iu compliance with rlrticle 87 of the <br />Uniform Fn•e Code. <br />24. Trash Collection - Dumpsters over 1.5 cubic yards capacity shall be located a minimum of 5 feet from <br />the building [TJFC 1103.2.2, 1994 Edition]. <br />Dun:pster(s) �nust �:ot obstruct tl:e fire hydrant. Clearance to the hydrant is inadequate as sitown <br />on the plan and ueust be revised on the site plan su6mitted for building perniit review. <br />25. Placement and screening of refuse disposal azeas must be provided per Section 39.OA0 of the "Loning <br />Code as follows: <br />a. Garbage receptacles, dumpsters, and recycle bin., shal] be provided in all multiple family, <br />commercial, industrial, and institutional developments and shall not be located in a required <br />front yard setback area, or street side setback area for comer lots. Where an ailey abuts a <br />lot, the gazbage receptacles, dumpster, or recycle bin shall be located adjacent to the alley. <br />b. All garbage dumpsters and recycle bins must be screened from view from the street and <br />from adjacent properties. This screening may be done using dense vegetation or by placing <br />the dumps[er or recycle bin in a structural enclosure. <br />c. For specifics on design of refuse and recycling facilities, contact Rubatino Refuse Removal, <br />lnc. at 259-0044 for areas generally north of 112th Street. For areas east of I-5 from Valley <br />View sou[h, contact Waste Management Northwest, Inc. at 337-1197. <br />26. Any rockeries or retaining walls proposed in required setback areas must be in conformance with <br />Section 39.150 of the Zoning Code. <br />27. Rcofrop mechanical equipmeot, including vents, must be screened per Section :i9.040 of the Zoning <br />Code. <br />
