Signalized intersections use the planning <br />application, which is less rigorous than the operations and <br />design application. The analysis was performed with the <br />computer program NCAP, published by Professional Solutions. <br />The majority of the intersections studied are signalized. The <br />level of services shown for these intersection are based upon <br />critical volume analysis and the volume to capacity ratio for <br />the intersection as a whole. <br />Analysis of the unsignalized intersections assumed an average <br />running speed of equal to the posted speed limit. Critical gaps <br />were reduced by 0.5 seconds for all movements to account for the <br />area population exceeding 250,000, as permitted in the x.C.M. <br />The LOS given for this intersection is for the movement with the <br />lowest reserve capacity. <br />When reviewing the appendix data, it may be noted that each set <br />of data has its own file reference numb��r. This is located at <br />the top of each data sheet.
